Lussen’s banjo; a wry aside that makes Rusty grin. And then the sudden thrilling uproar; the throb of strings, the lusty harmonized voices; that wash of pent-up lyricism that never died in any of us, despite all; the aching defiance of sweet lost Ireland; the echoes of men at sea; the rose-petal laments for blood spilled in the Troubles ancient and ongoing. For a few hours we are on the road with them; we are up there thumping and happy with them, lusty and harmonic in the American night.

During a performance, the Wood's Tea Company pulls from a cache of over a dozen instruments. The group tours extensively performing at concerts, coffee houses, festivals, pubs and colleges throughout the United States.
